Family Tree

Here is an always-a-work-in-progress family tree. You’ll see that it goes as far back as records and/or family oral history allow us, to a Maurice James Woulfe who farmed near the village of Athea, County Limerick. His people may have been related either to the merchant Woulfes of Limerick city or to another group of merchants who had lived in and around Rathkeale, in West Limerick. Or both. Maurice’s grandson, Old Maurice, is the direct descendant of nearly everyone on this tree. There are some threads that remain unconnected, however; some of them may trace back to one of Old Maurice’s sons, Edmond or Patrick, about whom we know next to nothing. If you see mistakes or places to add information, let me know. And please know that this is not my work alone, or even mostly my work; rather, it is the collective effort of Wolfes across the world and I am grateful for all that they have accomplished.
